A vivacious modernist hand blown art glass vase by well known artisan Arthur Allison (Texas, 20th, 21st century), in striking black, with brightly colored swirls, spirals, hearts and abstract forms in an intriguing technique. Reminiscent of the free use of color of the works of the Memphis Group, the piece is of a tall, beautiful form, with a tapered neck, signed on the base and numbered 8573.
