Chinese Porcelain Candlestick Holders
Item Details
A pair of Chinese porcelain candlestick holders. Each candleholder features a square stem with a flared base and a single candle cup. They also feature hand-painted budding and leafy branches, along with butterflies in a colorful palette against a white ground. The mark to the underside reads ‘Supervised and Produced by the Retreat House’ (有閒居監製) with an unknown portrait. The mark was used in the second half of the 20th century likely in Hong Kong.
