"Last of the Mohicans" Girandole With Crystal Lusters Converted Lamp
Item Details
A gilded metal giranodole that has been converted to use as a table lamp. The candelabrum features a tableau of figures based on The Last of the Mohicans. An original set by Cornelius and Company would have included two more pieces, each with a single light, which would have featured more characters from the story. This version has been converted to use as a table lamp. The curving arms have been embellished with vines and leaves. There are three sockets with candle sleeves and bobeches and pleated fabric shades trimmed with beads. Below each nozzle are fastened cut crystal beads and lusters.
