Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian area rug. This wool rug offers a large floral medallion with attached pendants to the center field. It features floral sprays to the remaining field joined by layered spandrels in green, grey, pink, ivory, lavender and blue. Framing the rug are carnation meander guard borders and a main border boasting large shah abbasi and lancet leaf motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with ivory warp fringe at either end. It is labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
