A pair of antique Victorian provincial style birch side chairs, mid 19th century. The frames feature pierced, triple-arched crests with vertical, scrolled spindles above caned seats. They rise on ring-turned, front legs joined by spindled, box stretchers to the raking back legs.

Condition
- frames with some nicks/chips and scuffs; caning is later; one chair with repairs to back near tops and bottoms of vertical spindles; back spindles of other chair are loose with joint separations/cracks at the tops and bottoms; same chair with a crack and subsequent glue repair to back, right corner of seat where it joins the leg.
