A vintage Chippendale style bench-made mahogany armchair, first half 20th century. The generously-proportioned, pegged frame features a shaped crest above a pierced, vertical splat flanked by open, outcurved arms with scrolled handholds. The over-upholstered, yellow seat is lined in brass tacks and patterned with palm trees and pink monkeys. The chair rises on cabriole, front legs ending in ball-and-claw feet.
