A 1981 lithograph on paper by listed artist Charles Banks Wilson (1918 – 2013), titled Tar Creek Boy. This monochromatic print depicts a lone fisherman seated on a tree stump emerging from a grassy embankment, casting a line within a calm brook. Surrounding him are hanging tree canopies. To the lower left corner is an in-plate monogrammed signature, which is complemented to the lower margins with a handwritten title and dated signature. The print is presented under glass beneath matting in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- nicks and wear to the edges of the frame; additional nicks and scratches to the face of the frame; glass could benefit from a cleaning; to the verso, nicks and wear to the protective backing.
