A hand-knotted Bakhshayesh Heriz rug runner. This wool rug begins with two large geometric medallions to the center field worked in sage, indigo, ivory, and rust. The surrounding field and spandrels have complimentary designs in the same color palette. Framing the rug is a compound border with overcast selvedges and ivory warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
