A circa 1930s oil painting on canvas by Anner. The mid-century piece depicts the portrait of a female nude figure, rendered in shades of brown and cream. The subject is depicted seated on a chair with draped fabric, a decorative scarf tied in her short hair. The work is signed to the lower left, appearing to read ‘Anner’; an additional note of ‘1936 Anner’ is inscribed to the verso by an unknown hand. The painting is presented without glass in a wooden frame.

- to fair; discoloration, dirt and accretion to composition; nicks and scratches to frame; hanging wire is broken; no backing paper present; toning to canvas verso.
