A pair of 15th-Century hand-painted illuminated manuscripts on parchment. Each item depicts text with gold leaf and is two-sided. One item depicts an inscription from the New Testament the ‘Canticle of Zachary,’ while the other item depicts ‘Psalms,’ 43 and 44. A typed description and translation is included with each item. The manuscripts are presented matted with a plastic cellophane sleeve.
Condition
- to fair; some wear to each cellophane sleeve; some wear to the edges of each mat; slight rubbing to the surface of each image; browning to the surface of each item; warping to the surface of each item.
