French Empire Style Bombe Chest
Item Details
A French Empire style bombe chest. This amoprhic, dark stone top chest with beveled edges overhangs four full width, stacked drawers. The drawers feature recessed panels and bail handles. The drawers are flanked by griffin shaped stiles. This piece terminates on claw feet joined by an acanthus leaf carved apron. There are no visible maker’s marks.
