An oil painting on canvas by Joyce Roybal (born 1955). This whimsical painting, inspired by the style of Bolivian-born artist Graciela Rodo Boulanger (born 1935), depicts a group of six children in striped outfits playing colorful horns. The stylized figures are rendered with simplistic childlike features and rounded faces. The work is signed in the lower right ‘J. Roybal’. It is presented in a gold tone composite wood and gesso frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
