Vintage R. Blackinton & Co. Sterling Silver Monogrammed Purse
Item Details
A vintage stelring silver purse by R. Blackinton & Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts (active 1862 – 1967). This piece features two repoussé sides with vine and floral bands at the top, accented with a drop scallop in the center, as well as a ridged border with scrolled meander style ends and a flower at the base. The purse has a hinged frame with a snap closure, silver tone chain handle, and a tan fabric interior lining with a change section. The interior of the frame is stamped, ‘Sterling’ alongside the maker’s mark and the number 2536.
