French Style Tambour Mantel Clock
Item Details
A French style tambour mantel clock. The clock features a wood case with a black lacquered finish accented with gilded trim and a hand-painted floral design. The clock has a curved bonnet with gently sloping side panels and a brass framed glass cover on the front that displays an antique white dial with black Roman numerals and brass hands set on a black center. Other features of the clock include hand-painted, richly colored roses surrounding the face and a Semca Co. 8-day movement with a brass pendulum and chimes, a winding key and the clock stands on a curved base with gilded trim and gilded cabriole legs with scrolled feet. There are no apparent makers marks.

Good-fair. One back leg detached, one cracked. Some chips in wood frame. Face is very good. Key included. Not tested for time keeping. Semca Co. on mechanics in clock.
