Antique and Vintage Tableware Including Ridgways "Willow"
Item Details
A twenty-two piece selection of vintage and antique blue and white tableware. Featured in this group is a vegetable bowl from Ridgways in the Willow pattern. It is marked to the underside, dating it to 1891. Also included are three divided dishes and two serving platters, also in the Willow pattern. One of the platters is marked ‘Stoneware’ and dates to the mid-nineteenth century and the other to the 1930’s. The famous Willow pattern has imagery derived from Chinese export porcelain that was first produced by Josiah Spode in 1790. The pattern became extremely popular and has been produced continuously ever since. Various other pieces including Indies from Johnson brothers round out the group. Most items are marked to the undersides.
