A hand-knotted Arab Baluch wool accent rug. This rug has a short wool pile in a palette of red and deep blue with ivory accents. The main pattern shows a stepped hexagonal medallion with red pointed floral medallions and geometric forms inside and out. The main border has repeating rectilinear palmettes with an ivory grounded guard border in a meandering carnation motif. Multiple overcast edges finish the rug with kilim strips to both ends and natural wool warp fringe.
