A hand-knotted Hadji-Lillili Tabriz design wool area rug by Jerry H. Aziz. Aziz is known for his eloquent designs, and features the work of 19th century master weaver Hadji-Lillili, famous for his court designs in Tabriz. This intricate rug is woven with Persian fibers, approximately 300 knots per square inch. It features dense floral detailing, with a lobed center medallion, corner spandrels, a tree of life primary border and eight secondary borders. It includes a palette of chocolate, mocha, camel and celadon tones, and is finished with a hand overcast edge, and natural warp fringe.
