Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool area rug. This rug features two star-shaped medallions in a palette of ivory, brick red, deep blue, indigo, orange, forest green, and brown, against a red main field with geometric florets. It has a sawtooth edge with forest green spandrels and running water guard borders in ivory and red. The main indigo border is patterned with stylized flowers and lancet leaves. Ends in hand-overcast edges with tied-off cotton fringe. Marked with a label to the reverse.
