An oil painting on canvas by Cincinnati, Ohio and Georgia-based painter James Thomas Watkins (b. 1943). This piece depicts a collection of large blue flowers in a gray vase with a face painted on it surrounded by apples in a Post-Impressionist style landscape. There is a paintbrush painted to the lower left corner, and the work is initialed to the lower right. It has the artist’s name stamped to the verso and is presented as an unframed, stretched canvas.
