A collection of Mid Century American Modern tableware by Russel Wright. Produced between 1939-1959, this line of dinnerware was many Americans’ first introduction to the Modernist movement. Included are a pitcher, two sugar bowls, a lidded soup bowl with handle, two oblong trays with curled sides, three creamers, a small pink cup and a an oval bowl. Most items show impressed maker’s marks on the underside reading “Russel Wright Mfg By Steubenville” while some are marked, ‘Iroquois Casual China by Russel Wright.’ Also included are two unmarked black dishes in a similar style.
