A woodblock print on paper titled Himeji Castle, Evening (姫路城) by well-listed Japanese printmaker Hiroshi Yoshida (吉田 博, 1876-1950). This shin-hanga work depicts the white castle with a lush landscape in the foreground, cast in a warm yellow light from the setting sun. The piece is signed ‘Yoshida’ in plate and has a ‘Hiroshi’ red seal to the lower left corner. In the left margin, the work is dated 1926 (Taisho 15) titled in Japanese (姫路城) and bears the artist’s ‘jizuri’ (自摺) seal. It is presented behind glass and a paper mat within a wood frame with hanging hardware to the verso.

- to fair; discoloration to paper and mat; wrinkling to paper; staining to mat; wear and chips to frame; damage to backing paper.
