A hand-knotted Indo-Persian area rug. The rug has an elongated burgundy field with intricate patterns of vines, palmettes, flowers, and leaves in a template of navy, salmon, sky and ivory. Surrounding the field is a compound floral border of ivory ground. The rug is finished with applied fringe at either end. It is unmarked.
