This work features a farmer driving a horse-drawn plow through the fields along the sea while seagulls gather around his path. The painting is signed and dated to the lower right, possibly reading ‘1905’. It is presented in a wood frame with a gold-tone liner.

- to fair; substantial paint loss and flaking scattered throughout composition; rubbing marks and paint loss along edges; faint stains and toning throughout composition; visible shallow splits throughout wood; wear in frame includes stains, finish loss and scratches throughout.
