Cincinnati Made Victorian Walnut Hall Chair

Item Details

An antique Victorian walnut hall chair. The arched and molded top rail of the chair is embellished with a carved flourish, and the chair back has a recessed panel surrounded with shallow carved accents. The flat seat is hinged, with rounded corners, and it lifts up to reveal storage space within. There are flower carvings on the corners of the bottom rail, with turned and carved chair legs that rest on peg feet. ‘A.C. Richards Maker – Cincinnati, O.’ is stenciled on the underside of the seat.
