An offset lithograph print on paper after an original painting by Cincinnati artist Louis Spiegel 1901 – 1975). The work depicts a clown standing with a broom in front of the Cincinnati riverfront, with the Delta Queen, the stadium and the Cincinnati skyline visible in the background. Broken bottles and torn bits of newspaper with the headlines “Reds win”, “pollution”, and “crime” lay at his feet. The work is signed and dated 1970 in the plate to the lower right. It is presented behind a black mat, under glass, in a black wood frame and is ready to hang with a wire.
