Item Details
A hand-knotted Kurdish wool runner rug. It features three diamond-shaped central pendant medallions in a palette of rose, scarlet, pale blue, olive and cream. The central medallions are surrounded by a pattern of floral elements with lancet leaves in rose, scarlet, pale blue, indigo, olive, and cream. The corner spandrels feature foliate patterns in rose, olive, pale blue and scarlet. It has a primary border of flowers and palmettes on an indigo ground, framed by floral and foliate guard borders in the field colors. It has overcast edges with a natural cotton warp fringe to the end. The rug is marked to reverse, “Genuine Hand Woven Oriental Rug, Iran, 100% Wool”.
