A selection of vintage to semi-antique Longpark Torquay Motto Ware and Dartmouth decorative tableware, made of proprietary red earthenware found in Devon and decorated with colored slips, using a sgraffito technique of decoration. Included in this collection are a candle holder, perfume vessel, a two handled Dartmouth puzzle jug, a creamer and more. Includes seven pieces total and some are marked to the underside, several are Motto Ware with a variety of proverbs, including ‘Ye Olde Devon Violets’ and ’He’s richest that do want the least’. They are marked to the underside.
