A Mother Teresa signed United Nations commemorative first day of issue stamp cover. The cover features a white ground with black and white design and lettering and includes the thirteen cent United Nations 25th Anniversary commemorative US postal stamp. It is postmarked November 20, 1970, from the United Nations in New York. It is hand-inscribed in black pen to the front ‘God bless you M. Teresa MC’ [Missionaries of Charity]. Mother Teresa was an Albanian-born Catholic nun and missionary, who founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950, and worked most of her missionary life in Kolkata (Calcutta), India. She was canonized by Pope Francis in 2016 and is also commonly known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta. It is presented under glass, in a black and gold tone frame with sawtooth hanger to the verso. The piece is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
