Pastel on paper

An original 2005 pastel drawing by contemporary artist Gisele Barrett. The drawing features a representational rendering of a black bear reaching up to eat berries directly from a tree, as the forest fades into a green haze in the background. The work is signed and dated in green pigment to the lower right. It is presented behind a triple mat in black, blue and maroon. It is housed behind glass, in a gold-tone wood frame with a faux distressed finish, and is ready to hang with a wire.
