Chinese Miao-Style Silver Tone Metal Hat With Medallion Embellishments

Item Details

An artisan-made silver tone metal hat, similar in style to those made by the Miao people of the Guizhou Valley in South China. The piece features a rounded design, with floral medallions applied to the band, as well as embossed fish-motif imagery and coiled cone shapes attached to the crown. The item features five floral metal embellishments extending outward from the top. No signature or maker’s mark was found.

- wear, tarnish, discoloration and accretion to surface; nicks, dents, small holes and markings to metal; some pieces are slightly bent.
