Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai pictorial wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, wheat, black, gold, azure, ivory, and sepia. The madder red colored field features a symmetrical design including rams in the center flanked by warrior men with a meel in hand. Framing the field is a main laleh abbasi patterned border, as well as sawtooth guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
