A hand-knotted Qashqai garden panel area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of red, slate blue, burgundy, cream, ocher, tan, burnt orange, moss green, and coral. The field is arranged in a grid format with designs of birds, vasiform flower arrangements, palmettes, and various flowering plants. It has borders of linked dots and trefoil shapes.It is finished with two-tone overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
