Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian village wool area rug. This unique rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, deep indigo, scarlet, wine, sapphire, olive, gold, carnation, wheat, and slate. The deep indigo colored field features a symmetrical design of branched roses radiating from a central bloom, accompanied by leaves, and S-forms. The elaborate field is framed by a main floral meander border with a geometric design, along with a colorful bird motif meander border, and a two-petal calyx meander border as well. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
