Vintage Hand Made Chenille Bed Spread with Peacock Motif

A vintage chenille bed spread with a peacock motif. Featured is a hand made white cotton coverlet embellished with the form of two peacocks facing opposite directions with mingling tail feathers in yellow, brown, and orange red tones, and framed by a looping border. The piece is finished with a band of hand stitched heart shaped medallions, each encasing a trio of primary colored flowers. A maker’s mark was not visible.
