A wooden Chinese abacus. This wooden Chinese abacus (算盤 suanpan) features eleven rods each with a lower deck of five beads and an upper deck of two beads. The suanpan can be used for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots and cube roots. The suanpan bears no manufacturer markings.
