Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Qashai wool mat. This small rug is rendered in a palette of ochre, clementine, indigo, ivory, fern, cranberry, and saffron. The ochre colored field features geometrically shaped symbols in an abstract design including branched forms, flowers, a palmette, stars, and other motifs. Framing the field is a diagonally striped border, and finishes with overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
