Hand-Knotted Kazak Wool Mat
Item Details
A hand-knotted Kazak wool mat. This small rug is rendered in a vibrant palette of sapphire, cerulean, clementine, lime, cobalt, carnation, crimson, saffron, walnut, ivory, and black. The sapphire colored field features a bold hooked and stepped diamond medallion infilled with diagonal stripes, accompanied by small animal head motifs. Framing the field is a rosette patterned main border, a sawtooth, and a barber pole guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
