Hand-Knotted Persian Shiraz Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Shiraz area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of blood red, orange, emerald, slate blue, cream, black, mustard, burgundy,and ocher. It has three stepped rhomboid shaped medallions on a field patterned with zig-zag leaves, large falcons, ‘S’ hook motifs, trefoils, boteh, dogs, and lobbed flowers. It is framed with diagonal barber pole stripes, ‘S’ hooks, and floral meander pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and fringe to either end.
