Hand-Knotted Persian Lilihan Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Lilihan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of indigo, cranberry, sky blue, ivory, rose, ochre, wine, and hints of emerald. The indigo colored field begins with a lobed pendant medallion infilled with floral motifs, and framed in rosettes. The field also features an abundance of ornately designed scrolling floral sprays, leaves, and coordinating spandrels with a large vase form. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border, along with three floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
