Hand-Knotted Central Asian Tribal Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Central Asian tribal area rug. This wool rug offers a lattice design with stylized floral patterns. It is worked in brick, cinnamon, grey, pink, cranberry and ivory. Farming the rug are double cross and quatrefoil florets in the field colors along with black and cranberry solid borders. It also features very wide kilim skirts in crimson and red bands at either end. Selvedges are woven and knotted in variegated wool threads, the rug finishing with long natural wool frainge at each end. It is not labeled.
