An artist’s proof intaglio print on paper titled From Prayer for the Big Morning created in 1971 by Speyer. The piece depicts poetic text of ‘People my heart with the living, their cries like fists, their sight healing my eyes, foreclosing night’. The text is displayed above a decorative lower border that features spiral, heart and eye motif imagery. The work is signed and dated by hand to the lower right, titled to the lower center and inscribed as an artist’s proof to the lower left. It is presented under glass and layered matting in a gilt wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- to fair; toning, discoloration and mat burn present to print and matting; edge wear and scratching to frame; tears to frame’s backing paper.
