A hand colored lithograph titled The Allied Army Crossing the Rhine to Invade France, 1813 after John Heaviside Clark and M. Dubourg, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This image was originally published 1816 in Historic, Military and Naval Anecdotes; this may be from a later edition. This piece depicts British soldiers standing in canoes in the Rhine River with mountains in the background. This piece is titled and attributed in plate to the lower margin. It is marked ‘J.H. Clark delt. from a Sketch by an Officer’ to the lower left corner and ‘M. Dubourg sculpt’ to the lower right corner. It is presented in an off white mat under glass with a beveled wooden frame.

- toning, foxing and discoloration to paper, discoloration to matting, slight billowing to paper under glass, dust and scratching to glass, edge wear, scuffs and finish loss to frame, tears to backing paper
