A hand colored aquatint etching titled French Troops Retreating Through and Plundering a Village by listed British artist John Heaviside Clark (1770-1863) and published by Edward Orme (1774-1820). This historic scene depicts French soldiers looting a village after their defeat at Waterloo. The image is attributed to Clark in the lower left margin. The print is presented under glass with a beige mat in a black wooden frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Condition

Good; Print shows discoloration and some foxing at the margins.
