A 15th century hand-painted illuminated manuscript from a French Book of Hours. This leaf features a liturgical calendar listing of the holidays and celebrations in the month of May with letters accented in blue, red, and gold tone gouache and marginalia. There is a note written in French and a much later script to the lower margin of the front. This piece has an informational sheet included and is presented in a French mat and plastic protective sleeve.

Condition

- some wear to the cellophane sleeve; wear to the edges of the mat; some warping and discoloration to the parchment; light rubbing to the surface of the image.
