An oil painting on canvas titled Elch Familie by listed artist Elisabeth Paetz-Kalich (born 1925). This nature scene depicts an adult male elk standing between the viewer and his family in a dense forest landscape. The work is signed in the lower right corner ‘E. Paetz-Kalich’, and incorrectly attributed by an unknown hand to ‘Ernst Paetz-Kalich’ on the top stretcher rail. The painting is presented in a dark wooden frame with a light linen liner. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
