A 1961 original oil painting on board. The painting depicts two figures, one seated and one standing, playing hand drums. It is loosely rendered in vibrant color. The work is initialed ‘MVB’ and dated in red pigment to the lower left. It is housed in a black wood frame with a white painted wood liner and is ready to hang with a wire. A second painting, depicting a floral still life, is present to the verso.

Condition

- white paint residue across upper and lower edge. Wear to frame finish. Separation to frame joins.
