Graphite on paper
A collection of late 19th century graphite drawings of landscapes on paper. These three include a depiction of figures waving to a riverboat and a path cutting through a snowy landscape toward a farmhouse with a mailbox standing to the lower right of the composition. Also depicted is a loose drawing of a covered bridge flanked by dark trees. All three unsigned works are attributed as being dated ‘c. 1888’ and as bearing the titles Mississippi Vista, Snugged In and Covered Bridge. They are matted under glass in wooden frames without hardware for hanging.
Condition
- fair; edge wear to frames; mats and drawings are slightly discolored.
