Antique Chinoiserie Wood and Brass Cabinet Door Panels
Item Details
A pair of antique chinoiserie wood and brass cabinet door panels. The doors are fitted with a two part brass keyhole escutcheon with elaborate pierced sides and pierced brass hinge hardware. The doors are painted throughout with gold and coral hued floral and landscape scenes of water, bridges, human figures, birds and rocky outcroppings with trees. The outer edges are painted in gold tone. The pair is attributed as Qing Dynasty circa 1875. Wire hangers are attached to the verso.
Condition
- wear to finish on edges of decorations; wear to edges of boarders on decorations; lacquer wearing off of each decoration; cracks and splitting at bottom portion of both decorations; scratches throughout verso of both decorations; oxidation on metal accents. (DCCPLS)
