Hand-Knotted Northwest Persian Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Northwest Persian carpet runner. This wool rug is featured with five serrated diamond medallions infilled with geometric motifs. The remaining field offers complimentary design elements of boteh and rectilinear patterns. It is worked in indigo, ocean, ivory, gold, navy and scarlet red. Framing the field are barber pole and split leaf calyx meander borders. Selvedges are overcast in stripes, the rug finishing with ivory warp fringe at either end. It is unlabeled.
