A New Haven Clock Company Abbey mantel clock. The clock is from the early 20th century and features an elegant design with a mahogany case with a curved bonnet and carved gothic spires and a fretwork window on the front with a mesh cloth covering. Other features of the clock include a brass framed glass front door that displays a silvered brass dial with raised goldtone Arabic numbers and brass hands. Other features of the clock include a patented New Haven, 8-day spring driven time and strike movement with Westminister chimes and a chime silence option, a winding key and the clock stands on a plinth style base with bracket feet. The clock is labeled ‘New Haven Clock Co.’ on the face and verso.
